Brand new tote from In Blue Handmade! We are so proud to announce the release of our "Marie Tote". Last Christmas, my team came to me with the best gift, a classic bag designed by Allan Block, renowned leatherworker in NYC during the 60s and 70s. Based in Greenwich Village, Allan made sandals and straps for everyone on the scene at the time, including Bob Dylan himself. As an avid fan of Appalachian music, he was a major part of the culture during this pivotal time in folk history. This bag is a tribute to him, his little shop in the city, and all of the musicians and artists who stopped by to say hi, shop his goods, and be a part of this amazing time in our history.
This is our updated version of this bag! This beauty includes our botanical applique, a vision our Chief Of Operations, Britney had this year. These beautiful leaves add dimension and flow to the bag, and an element of style that I personally love so much!
As with all bags from In Blue, every sale donates 50 meals to Feeding America.
The bag is our boho curved bag. Dimensions are as follows (and approximate):
12 in tall
14 in wide at its widest point
11.5 in wide at the top zipper opening
11.5 in wide at the bottom
3 in deep
The bag holds a ton of stuff! It includes a full panel front exterior pocket, a 6 x 6 in internal pocket for keys/phone, and ample space for your daily carryall.
Short Shoulder: One shorter shoulder strap with a 12 inch drop, attached to either end of the bag
Two Shoulders: Two shorter shoulder straps attached to either side of the front and back of the bag, also a 12 in drop
Crossbody: A longer, adjustable single strap that attaches on either end of the bag, measuring 36-45" adjustable
BOTH SETS: two shoulder straps and a detachable, longer across the body strap!
Every bag comes with our leather tassel, which can be clipped on and off your bag with ease!
Currently, for the introduction of this style, it is unlined inside, and available in just our chestnut and mahogany colorways.
Be the first to get your hands on this beautiful style, inspired by our favorite time in fashion history.
